Surreal Life Season 6 Episode 8 Recap

Sunday May 7, 2006
Licensed therapist Florence Henderson confronts the cast about their issues and offers advice and a charm with a letter to encourage them. A lot of the footage that Florence shows has never been seen before.

- The show starts off with Maven and Steve Harwell talking about the recent change in Tawny. When the cast goes out to eat, Tawny continues to display the erratic behavior that Maven and Steve were discussing.

- When the cast returns to the house, it is set up for Florence’s “Final Word” segment. The way it works is that Florence will show some footage of that cast member and provide her analysis and suggestions. She then gives each person a charm with a letter on it. That letter is the first letter of a word that Florence wants the cast member to remember to help them deal with their problems.

- Sherman Helmsley: The footage of him shows that he lets people take advantage of him. She wants him to become more assertive. He gets a “C” for confidence.

- Maven: Footage of Maven really drunk on the phone is shown while popping Vicoden. Maven discusses the pain that being a pro wrestler causes. Florence was concerned that he took 7 pills and then gives him a “T” for truth.

- Alexis Arquette: Footage of her violent outburst is shown. Florence tells her that that type of anger has consequences. Alexis discusses that she comes from a violent family and wants to break that cycle. She gets a “B” for bravery.

- C.C. DeVille: Florence is very proud of his sobriety and the things he has been able to accomplish on the show. He gets a “T” for transformation.

- Steve Harwell: She talks about how Steve likes to be in control and that life brings you situations you can’t control. They talk about the stages of grief that he needs to go through due to the loss of his son. Steve tells her that he was planning to see a therapist about it when he got back home. He gets a “C” for courage.

- Andrea: Footage of Andrea drunk, naked, and insulting Florence is shown. Florence thinks that she is getting into the prison of pornography. She gets an “A” for aspire. Andrea says on the voice over that she aspired to be a Playboy model.

- Tawny: Footage of Tawny talking about how her parents used to tie her down in her crib is shown. Florence tells her that she has to learn to forgive everyone for what they have done and most importantly to forgive herself. She gets an “F” for forgiveness. Tawny babbles about something on the voice over about how it was pathetic.

- The segment ends in a group hug. Andrea was very angry about what happened and wanted to know why no one stood up for her.

- The coming attractions for the final episode are shown. The house mates will be having their final dinner together. It comes out that Tawny’s fiancé was having an affair. The coming attractions end with Tawny out of control and swimming naked with Andrea.
