Hogan Knows Best Season 2 Episode 8 Recap

Sunday May 7, 2006
Hulk Hogan prepares for his SummerSlam match with Shawn Michaels. He realizes that he can not be a full time wrestler anymore and decides to become a spokesperson. Hulk discusses his 9 figure spokesman mistake from a decade ago. By the way, if you want to be a wrestler, tonight’s two VH1 shows should give you some second thoughts.

- Hulk gets a massage to help his injured ankle. Hulk then describes a laundry list of injuries he has had (replaced knee, replaced hip, broken leg, lat muscle tear, lack of peripheral vision, broken nose 12 times, and knocked his front teeth out 6 times). Hulk then gets laser treatment on his wrinkles so he can look younger for his match with Shawn.

- Hulk is at the arena for his SummerSlam match with Shawn. He goes through his pre-match routine. Brooke and Linda watch the match from home. Hulk bleeds a lot in this match and Brooke has to leave the room. After the match, which Hulk won, he meets with the arena doctor and decides that he needs to see his back specialist.

- Hulk gets a cortisone injection in his back for the tenth time. The procedure involves a 6 inch needle being injected down his spine. He sees another specialist about his ankle problems. Hulk starts to think that he is getting close to reaching the breaking point about the injuries he is suffering and that it might be time to stop wrestling.

- Hulk is working out when Linda asks him about being a spokesman. Hulk tells the story of how he almost was the spokesman for the George Forman grill. One day he was picking up the kids from school when he got a call from his agent telling him that he had two products for him and George Forman. When he called back his agent, George had already picked the grill so Hulk got the power mixer.

- Hulk goes to a recording studio and does his Arby’s commercial.

- Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey approach Hulk about an energy drink. They show Hulk some artwork. He says he will go along if he like the way it tastes. Eric orders Hulk some product. Hulk gets a delivery of 2,000 pounds of Socko delivered to his house. I now understand why WCW went out of business. Eric was in charge of WCW and his overspending has been one of the reasons suggested for the company’s demise.

- Hulk gets a grill to sponsor and he really likes it. Hulk films a 30 minute infomercial for the Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill.
