Surreal Life Season 6 Episode 7 Recap

A battle of the bands turns into some real battles. Alexis Arquette vs the instruments and Tawny Kitaen vs Steve Harwell are just an appetizer for tonight’s Backlash PPV.
- CC DeVille reads the morning paper where they find out they will be in a battle of the bands and have to perform Poison’s Talk Dirty to Me. Tawny Kitaen is named the band manager.
- The first problems arise when Tawny asks to use some of Alexis’s wigs. Tawny doesn’t understand the bond Alexis has with her wigs. Alexis starts to get really mad when Tawny names Steve as the lead singer and asks about her wig again. Alexis goes on a rampage and starts to destroy the set and turning over the instruments.
- Maven and Andrea are in the backyard with Alexis. Steve comes out and tells Alexis that she can sing lead on the song. As a big Poison fan and a musician, either would have done well in the role of Bret Michaels (singer of Poison). If they wanted the best sounding singer then Steve would have done the better job as he is the lead singer of Smashmouth. However, when this song came out, Poison was known more for their image as men dressed as women, which is what Alexis is best known for.
- Tawny starts to act really strange. She is calling people by the wrong names and on multiple times is told that there is no keyboard on the song. Her behavior sets Steve off into a rage and he starts cursing her out.
- Florence Henderson shows up and a few minutes later all the cast mates make up. The housemates get dressed for the show and board the van.
- The housemates meet their competition, a tribute group called Posin. CC gets really nervous about the contest because it would be humiliating to lose a contest with his own song. In the back, Tawny falls asleep and some of the cast members are relieved by this. Andrea is practicing her groupie crawl and feels that Florence doesn’t approve. Posin goes on first followed by the cast mates now known as The Winners. The Winners win the contest.
- Back at the house, Maven and Andrea have some drinks and hang out in the pool area. Andrea goes off about how she feels about Florence Henderson. This outburst will come back to haunt her next week as the coming attractions feature Florence Henderson giving her professional therapy advice to the cast mates.
