WrestleMania 22 featured Rey Mysterio win the World Heavyweight Championship. He beat Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle and Randy Orton (the son of WWE Hall of Famer Bob Orton). After the match, he celebrated with Vickie and Chavo Guerrero, the family of his late friend Eddie Guerrero. In a huge upset, WWE Champion John Cena made Triple H tap out to the STFU. The show also featured two other title changes as Trish Stratus lost the women’s title to Mickie James and JBL won the U.S. title from Chris Benoit. In two matches where the normal rules of wrestling didn’t apply, Shawn Michaels destroyed Vince McMahon and a thumbtack filled Edge sent Mick Foley through a flaming table.

World Tag Team Championship: Champs Kane & The Big Show vs Chris Masters & Carlito - The Big Show is hurt outside the ring when Kane goes for the choke slam on Carlito. Masters tries to break it up but hits his tag team partner instead. Kane gets rid of Masters then hits the choke slam on Carlito to get the win for his team. Winners: Kane & The Big Show
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Matt Hardy vs Lashley vs Finlay vs Ric Flair vs Shelton Benjamin vs Rob Van Dam - Early in the match, Matt Hardy gave Ric Flair a superplex off the top of the ladder which required Flair to be escorted to the back. A few minutes later Flair came back and almost won but was hit by the shillelagh. Rob Van Dam almost won the match when Shelton leapfrogged from the ropes to the top of the ladder. Matt Hardy tried to sneak in on the next ladder and wound up with Shelton on his ladder. RVD threw both men off their ladder and grabbed the briefcase. Winner: Rob Van Dam
- Howard Finkel introduces the new members of the Hall of Fame. He says that Bret Hart was uncomfortable being there and would not be attending.
U.S. Title: Champ Chris Benoit vs JBL w/Jillian Hall - JBL’s limo enters the arena underneath the walk ramp which rose into the air. This is JBL’s first match since his hand was injured last month and he appears to have put on quite a few pounds. JBL goes for the clothesline and Benoit applies the crippler cross face. JBL rolls Benoit over onto his back and grabs the ropes so Benoit couldn’t kick out to win the match and title. Winner and new champ: JBL
Hardcore Match: Edge w/Lita vs Mick Foley - Edge gets the quick start and hits the spear only to hurt himself due to Foley having his body wrapped in barbed wire. This brutal match featured Edge falling into a pile of thumbtacks, Foley’s head busted open with the barbed wire baseball bat, and Lita and Edge both getting the Manibale claw from Mr. Sock wrapped in barbed wire. This one ends when Edge gives Foley a spear from the ring apron through a burning table on the floor to get the win. Winner: Edge
- In the back, Sharmell says that her husband is a freak magnet. On their way out of the locker room they bump into “Pirate” Paul, Eugene and Ted DiBiase doing the classic basketball sketch, Snitsky licking Mae Young’s foot, and Oprahdust.
Handicap Match: The Boogey Man vs Booker T & Sharmell - The less said about this match the better. The Boogey Man kisses Sharmell while he has a mouth full of worms and then gives Booker the pump handle slam to get the win. This could be the worst match I have ever seen Booker T involved in. Winner: The Boogey Man
Women’s Title: Champ Trish Stratus vs Mickie James - The crowd is very vocal in this match and boos Trish out of the building. This does not bode well for Cena later tonight. Mickie worked over Trish’s leg the entire match and won the match with the chick kick. The match featured a badly botched Stratusfaction attempt by Mickie and her touching Trish very inappropriately. Winner and new champ: Mickie James
Casket Match: The Undertaker vs Mark Henry - Yawn. Snooze. The Undertaker puts Mark in the coffin to get the win. Yawn. Winner: The Undertaker
No Holds Barred Match: Vince McMahon vs Shawn Michaels - When Shawn gets the advantage, The Spirit Squad interferes. Shawn fights them off. Later in the match, Shawn is about to hit the super kick when Shane attacks. Shawn turns the interference around and Shane accidentally joins his dad’s Kiss My A** Club. Shawn then handcuffs Shane to the ring ropes and mercilessly beats up Vince. The highlight of this beating was Shawn jumping off a huge ladder and delivering an elbow drop onto Vince. Vince was on a table at the time with a garbage pail over his head. He then delivered the super kick to get the win. Vince was carried out on a stretcher but still flipped Shawn the bird on the way out. Winner: Shawn Michaels
- P.O.D. performs Rey Mysterio’s theme song. This performance was horrible but not as bad as Rey’s Hawk Man like outfit.
World Heavyweight Championship Champ Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton vs Rey Mysterio Jr. - Early in the match, Kurt Angle made both men tap out to the ankle lock but the ref never saw it either time. The match had lots of near falls but ended when Rey hit the 619 on Randy Orton to get the win. After the match, he is greeted by Chavo and Vicki Guerrero. Winner and new champ: Rey Mysterio
- JR and Jerry Lawler are already making excuses for the inevitable John Cena bashing that the crowd is about to do.
Playboy Pillow Fight: Candice Michelle vs Torrie Wilson - The pillows were never used in this match. Both women started off in dresses but were down to their bra and panties by the time Torrie cradled Candice for the pin. Winner: Torrie Wilson
WWE Title: Champ John Cena vs Triple H - Triple H came to the ring looking like a reject from Conan the Barbarian. It gets worse for Cena as he comes out with some stupid 1920’s Chicago gangster gimmick. The first half of this match was all about playing to the crowd and their amazing reactions. After the ref bump, Triple H hit Cena with the sledgehammer but could not get the win. A few minutes later Cena hit the FU but Triple H was able to kick out. When Triple H went for the pedigree, Cena reversed it into the STFU and made Triple H tap out. Winner: John Cena

I rarely watch a WWE/WWF/WWWF event, but since My Nephew called me and begged me to come over and watch it with Him, I did and being an old school Wrestlng Fan, Vince & Co. Never let me Down!! Yep, As Always this Wrestlemania reflected the Lack of Competition out in the Professional Wrestling world and in My Humble Opinion “S-U-C-K-E-D”. More Hype, Ladder matches that werre as stupid looking as was the match, some jerk eating worms, come on, what stupidity, or shall I say Creativity from who, McMahon!! a Dumb Blond match, that looked like who knows what, what happened to the Undertaker, He was better as Mean Mark Callous in the WCW!! Fans today have no clue as to what a great Wrestling show is anymore, sad yet true, reason I won’t spend a red cent for anything McMahon has to Offer. The Wrestlers, I have no quams with, McMahon, though has gone out of his way to Ruin Wrestling and he’s doing a good job of ruining every wrestler that works for him in one aspect or another. Shame on Vince and Hopefully One day someone will come up with another product that brings back the days where talent and wrestling are magnified and the garbage gimmicks are left out to pasture. What may have One Been Wrestlemania is now a Boramania event, unworthy of the Dollars that unknowing fans shell out for such garbage!!

Maybe you should have thought about it more or rephrased the sentence. Since Eddie is no longer living it would be pretty hard for him to congratulate Rey face to face. I’m sure you meant to say Vicki. (not sure how the spelling is)
Hardcore no DQ match, Edge Vs Mick Foley:
The Match featured a lot of Dangerous weapons. Edge comes out with Lita with baseball bat with Barbed-Wire, Then Foley comes out, The best moments of the match were that Foley dropped Edge Down Right on the Thumbtacks And Edge suffered one more terrible moment of WrestleMania, Foley hit Edge in the back with the Barbed-wire bat And Smashed his face with the barbed-wire hand, The Best Moment of The Match was that lita sets the table on fire outside the Ring, she hit foley with the bat While Foley was on the apron so close to the table, And Edge take advantage And crashing foley into the table with Fire with a Spear! And picks up the win.
