Hogan Knows Best Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
Sunday April 2, 2006
For the second week in a row, a professional wrestler gets a lap dance from a man dressed in drag on VH1. After watching this show and remembering the one from two week’s ago, I have to wonder if Hulk Hogan gave the Doctor that cut Brooke’s umbilical cord a leg drop. This week the family goes crazy when Brooke is missing for a few hours while on vacation. They fear the worse even though Brooke is followed by a whole television production crew. In addition, I will give all the guys some advice for hitting on a woman at the beach.
- The family is on vacation in Key West. The kids break away from their parents and Hulk tells Nick to keep an eye on his sister. The siblings break away from each other. Around noon, Nick returns to the hotel without his sister and all hell breaks loose. Linda and Hulk go looking for their daughter fearing the worst. They speak to a cop asking for advice. He should have told them to have their production crew call up the production crew following Brooke. I guess that explains why this cop is riding a bicycle instead of being allowed to drive a motorized vehicle. Linda then starts babbling about Brooke being killed and sliced into little pieces. Brooke returns to the hotel a few hours later and emotions run high. Brooke is insulted that her parents don’t trust her to be by herself or a few hours, but neglects to mention that her version of being alone means being followed by a TV crew.
- The next day, the family has a day they spend together. Hulk and Brooke talk about the events of yesterday and Hulk is in tears about the kidnapping in Aruba and how he could not live if anything happened to her. I think that Hulk was upset that it was VH1’s camera crew following Brooke yesterday instead of him using his spy surveillance equipment from a few weeks ago. Later in the day, Hulk gets mad at Linda for suggesting that Brooke buy a thong bikini. Hulk buys Brooke an outfit because he is happy that she showed good judgment about not wanting to wear a thong bikini. When the family is at dinner they are invited to a cabaret show. They go to the show and Hulk gets a lap dance and a kiss from one of the drag queens. The family leaves and returns to the hotel where they laugh about the days events.
- No coming attractions were shown due to VH1 promoting Torrie Spelling’s reality TV show.
- Some guy advice: During this episode, there was a scene where a group of guys try to get Brooke’s attention. They do their best Top Gun impersonation and as a group start singing You Lost That Loving Feeling. If you are using a 20 year old Tom Cruise movie as the basis for your pick up lines stop it immediately.
