New Year's Revolution Results

A surprise ending to the event leads to the crowning of a new WWE Champion (and it is not anyone that was scheduled to be in the Elimination Chamber Match).
I-C Title: Champion Ric Flair vs Edge w/Lita - In Edge’s return to the ring, Flair seemed more concerned with Lita than his opponent. Flair locks Lita in the figure four leg lock and Edge then hits Flair with his briefcase several times. Winner: Ric Flair by DQ
- Kurt Angle is interviewed in the back. He says several horrible things and then says that it doesn’t matter what he says because people will cheer him anyway once they are done with the you suck chants during his entrance.
Women’s Title: Champ Trish Stratus vs Mickie James - During the match, Mickie contemplated using the title on Trish but didn’t. Later in the match, she hit Trish with the Stratusfaction but Trish was able to kick out. This one ended when Trish hit Mickie with the Chick Kick to get the win. Winner: Trish Stratus
- A few backstage skits happen. First Maria interviews herself about the bra and panties gauntlet match. She is interrupted by Gregory Helms. Then Shelton Benjamin is in the back with his mother. She says that he is not eating enough and is going to catering to bring him some food. Finally, Edge refuses to answer questions for WWE.com from the fans because he has bigger things to do.
Jerry Lawler vs Gregory Helms - After a few minutes of action, Gregory goes to the top rope but Lawler shakes the ropes and Helms crotches himself on the ropes. Lawler then hits the fistdrop off the second rope to get the win. Winner: Jerry Lawler
- A few more backstage skits. First Trish goes to the WWE.com set and stares at Lita when they cross paths. Mickie James then comes up to Trish and is excited about having wrestled Trish and wants to answer questions on the set with her. In catering, Mama Benjamin is hit on by Viscera.
Triple H vs The Big Show - The story of this match is Triple H trying to avoid getting hit with the cast on the hand of TBS while trying to further injure the hand. Triple H is able to remove the cast from the hand of TBS. After the ref went down, the sledgehammer came out. TBS goes for a left handed choke slam but is hit in the head by the sledgehammer. Triple H then hits the pedigree to get the win. Winner: Triple H
- In the back, Carlito and Master come up with a plan to work together in the Elimination Chamber match.
- Shelton Benjamin and his mama come to the ring. Shelton says that he wants Viscera to apologize for insulting his mama. Mama Benjamin says she wants her son to kick Viscera’s butt.
Shelton Benjamin w/his mama vs Viscera - Shelton’s mama kept insulting Viscera and threatening her son with the belt when he was losing to motivate him. This match ends after Shelton’s mom hit Viscera with her pocket book and a few moments later Shelton hit his spin kick to get the win. Winner: Shelton Benjamin
Bra and Panites Gauntlet Match: Torrie Wilson vs Candice Michelle vs Ashley vs Victoria vs Maria - The rules of the match are that it is 1 on 1 at all times and the only way to lose was to be stripped to your bra and panties. Maria and Candice start off and Maria eliminated Candice and then Torrie. Victoria came out 4th and eliminated Maria. The match came down to Victoria and … Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah come out. Mae starts to strip for the crowd before Victoria attacks her. Moolah grabs Victoria and takes her shirt off before security take Moolah and Mae to the back. Ashley then comes out and eliminates Victoria by pulling her tights down while she is trapped in the Widow’s Peak. After the match, Ashley strips down to her bra and panties. Winner: Ashley
Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Title: Champ John Cena vs Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle vs Chris Master vs Carlito - It has to be noted that the fans were viciously against Cena tonight even though he is a good guy. Cena and Michaels start the match off. Carlito enters next and is followed a few minutes later by Kurt Angle then Chris Masters. While Kurt Angle had the ankle lock applied to Cena, Shawn Michaels hit him with the superkick and then pinned him. Kane entered last and was quickly eliminated by the double teaming of Masters and Carlito. The two then eliminated Shawn with their double teaming. The two then double team Cena but Carlito betrays his partner with a low blow and pins Masters. Cena then quickly pins Carlito to win the match. Winner: John Cena
- Vince comes out and announces that Edge was cashing in his money in the bank title shot now.
WWE Title: Champ John Cena vs Edge w/Lita - Cena was in bad shape due to the previous matches and was no match for Edge as he hits several spears to win the match and become new champion. Winner and new Champ: Edge
