Monday January 2, 2006
Tonight’s main event is a first blood match between John Cena and the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. A few new matches are thrown together for Sunday’s New Year’s Revolution PPV and Shelton Benjamin’s mama is not happy with her son's losing streak.
- The show starts with Vince McMahon in the ring. Vince talks about his new zero tolerance policy and how he will no longer be Mr. Nice Guy. He says that he should have fired Shawn on the spot last week. He then makes the next match for his own pleasure.
Kane vs Shawn Michaels - Vince is in the ring and announces that if Shawn uses the super kick, he will be disqualified. Before the match goes to commercial break, Shawn asks Vince why he’s doing this when he has given him everything. Vince says because that’s not enough. Later in the match, Shawn is about to use the super kick when Vince says that if he uses it he will be kicked out of the Elimination Chamber Match. Kane uses this distraction to hit the choke slam and pin Shawn. Winner: Kane
- During the commercial break, Todd Grisham informs Shawn that Vince has decided to make Shawn the first person to enter the Elimination Chamber.
- Gregory Helms comments from last week on Unlimited are shown. He blames Jerry Lawler’s bad comments about him for holding him back. Helms then enters to the ring to confront Lawler. It has to be noted that tonight the announce table is at ringside as opposed to being at the top of the ramp. Lawler then says that at least when he was The Hurricane, Helms was entertaining. The two men then started to fight. Lawler then grabbed the mic and challenged him to a match at New Year’s Revolution.
- Mickie James is in Vince’s office where he asks her about last week’s kiss with Trish. Angle and Daivari enter Vince’s office demanding that the official be changed because of what happened to him last week. Vince says no.
- Todd Grisham asks Trish Stratus about the kiss from last week. Trish says it made her uncomfortable.
- Victoria comes to the ring with Torrie Wilson and Candace Michelle while Maria is hosting the Kiss Cam for Unlimited. She is in a neck brace because of her match with Carlito last week. Victoria then says that Maria is so stupid she doesn’t even realize she has a match. She then attacks her to start the match.
Maria vs Victoria - An overconfident Victoria loses to Maria in a fluke. After the match, Victoria, Torrie and Candace attack Maria. Ashley unsuccessfully tries to make the save. During the commercial break, Vince McMahon makes a bra and panties gauntlet match between the 5 women. Winner: Maria
- Trish is in the shower and Mickie took her towel. Mickie then apologizes to Trish and then compliments her boobs.
- Edge and Lita introduce an amateur home video of Ric Flair’s road rage incident. It was actually a really funny spoof of the incident with Edge dressed as Flair continually whoooing the victim. As they continue to insult Flair, he comes out and starts beating up Edge and gives Lita the figure four leg lock.
- A video of Stacy Keibler preparing for Dancing with the Stars is shown.
Chris Masters vs Shelton Benjamin - After being close to victory several times, Shelton eventually loses when he succumbs to the Master Lock. Shelton’s losing streak continues. Winner: Chris Masters
- Footage of Steeler’s Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger attending last week’s RAW is shown.
- Triple H comes to the ring and talks about breaking The Big Show’s hand. TBS comes out with a giant cast on his hand. The cast is used as a hammer on a chair, a TV monitor and the ring steps. Giving TBS the injury, which Triple H thought would be to his advantage has now proven to be a bad mistake.
- Shelton Benjamin’s mama comes to the locker room and berates her son for his constant losing. She threatens to hit him with her belt and then says she is going to be with him until he stops being soft and gets his head straight.
. John Cena vs Kurt Angle w/Daivari - Cena’s WWE title is not on the line. The only way to lose this match is to be the first man to bleed. One of the turnbuckle pads come off and trying to hit the others guy head into it becomes a storyline during the match. After the ref bump, Angle hits Cena over the head with a chair to make Cena bleed. Cena recuperates to apply the STFU but the ref stops the match when he awakes to see Cena bleeding. After the match everyone, involved in the Elimination Chamber Match comes to the ring and a six way brawl erupts. The show ends with all the men laid out in the ring. Winner: Kurt Angle
