A huge title change with major implications for Sunday’s PPV highlights the show. In addition, between commercial breaks, highlights of The Undertaker in the Hell in a Cell contrast Randy Orton’s paranoia and visit with a sports psychologist about the big match on Sunday.
The Boogeyman vs Nunzio w/Big Vito - The arena fills up with so much smoke, the beginning of the match is unwatchable. In the back, some SD stars are watching the show with horrified looks on their face. In the ring, The Boogeyman has a mouth full of worms and applies his finishing pump style slam to get the win. Big Vito is about to enter the ring but is too scared. The Boogeyman then proceeds to force Nunzio to eat worms. In the back, Sylvan comments that eating worms is not fashionable. Winner: The Boogeyman
- Bob Orton convinces his son Randy to meet with a sports psychologist he brought to the arena. When the show comes back, Randy is meeting with the psychologist saying that everywhere he looks he sees The Undertaker.
- Melina enters Batista’s locker room and tries to seduce Batista into not wrestling tonight.
Kid Kash vs Super Crazy - Before the match, the ref banishes the rest of The Mexicools to the back. In the middle of this match, Crazy hits the back of his head and that injury is the story of the match. Due to the injury, Crazy is too slow and misses a moonsault. Kid Kash takes advantage and hits a brain buster to get the win. After the match, Kash tries to hit the brain buster on a chair. The Mexicools come to ringside to stop this from happening. Winner: Kid Kash
- Bob Orton meets his son outside the office. Randy says he is going to make a big announcement.
- In the locker room, it appears that Melina and Batista had some fun. When Melina asks if they have a deal, Batista says there is no deal but thanks her for the warm up.
WWE Tag Team Title Match: Champions MNM vs Batista & Rey Mysterio Jr. - On their way to the ring, a disheveled Melina refuses to let the paparazzi take her photo and refuses to do her normal ring entrance. Batista & Rey Mysterio Jr. After beating on Mysterio for a few minutes, he makes the hot tag to the Animal who clears house. Mysterio hits a double 619 on Mercury & Melina and Batista hits the Batista bomb on Mercury to get the win and the titles. Winners and new champs: Batista and Rey Mysterio
Lashley vs Paul Burchill w/William Regal - Last week Lashley beat Regal. The results are the same this week as Lashley hits the dominator to get the win. Winner: Lashley
- Cristal interviews Matt Hardy. JBL interrupts the interview and the men start brawling.
- SmackDown! GM wants the Dr. to tell him what Randy Orton will say in the ring. The sports psychologist is insulted by Long’s attitude.
- In the back, Batista & Mysterio are celebrating when Randy Orton comes in to congratulate Batista. A somber Orton says that he thinks while many think Batista is the best, he thinks he is the best and is unhappy that no one will ever know. He then shakes Batista’s hand.
Booker T w/Sharmell vs Matt Hardy - Prior to the match, JBL comes to ringside to do commentary. JBL is walking with a crutch because of what happened last week. A few minutes into the match, Sharmell enters the ring with a broom and JBL pulls Hardy out of the ring and gives him the clothesline from hell. He throws Matt back into the ring and Booker hits the scissor kick to get the win. Winner: Booker T
- Randy and his dad are talking in the back. Bob offers to come to the ring with his son, but Randy says he must do this on his own.
- Randy comes to the ring and makes a huge announcement. He announces his retirement from the WWE. An unhappy SmackDown! GM comes out and wants to know what is going on. Teddy threatens to sue him for everything he has, but that doesn’t change Randy’s decision. Randy tries to leave the arena and The Undertaker’s music plays. The Druids block the exit to the arena. The Undertaker comes to the ring. The lead druid raises the urn and it turns out to be Bob Orton. Randy attacks The Undertaker. He busts him open with a steel chair and the show ends with a bloody Undertaker lying in the ring.
