Tonight's PPV featured 3 incredible brawls and an X-Division classic between AJ & Samoa Joe. A title changed hands and the new face of TNA made his presence felt at the end of the show.
The Naturals & Lance Hoyt vs Buck Quartermain, Jon Bolen & Joe Doering - As explained on Cheap Seats, if you don’t get announced you will probably lose the match. That theory held true as The Naturals and Hoyt easily win this match when Hoyt pinned Bolen. Winners: The Naturals & Hoyt
Barbed Wire Match: Sabu vs Abyss w/James Mitchell - As is barbed wire surrounding the ring isn’t violent enough, Sabu uses a foreign object to bloody Abyss. Later in the match, Abyss drops Sabu face first on a board wrapped in barbed wire. Abyss brings a second board into the ring but winds up running face first into that board. Sabu then dropkicks him onto the original board. Sabu then jumps on Abyss who is sandwiched between the two boards to get the pin. Winner: Sabu
Matt Bentley w/Traci & Austin Aries vs Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong - After being double teamed for several minutes, Aries makes the hot tag to Bentley. Shortly after, Bentley hits the superkick on Strong to get the win for his team. Winners: Matt Bentley & Austin Aries
Raven vs ??? - After refusing to sign a release from TNA, Raven’s opponent is Chris K. WCW & WWE fans know Chris K as Kanyon. Who netter than Kanyon? Tonight the answer is Raven. He pins K after giving him a power bomb on a chair followed by the Raven Effect DDT. After the match, Zbysko & Raven come to blows before security breaks it up. Winner: Raven
4 Live Kru (BG James/Kip James/Killings/Konnan) vs Team Canada (Williams/A1/Roode/Young) w/Scott D’Amore - When it appears Konnan & Kip James are going to finish off Bobby Roode, Konnan hits Kip in the head with a chair and allows Roode to pin him. After the match, Konnan hits BG with a chair but gives a hug to a confused Ron Killings. Winners: Team Canada
Dale Torborg, Sonjay Dutt, & Chris Sabin w/manager AJ Pierzynski vs Diamonds in the Rough (Simon Diamond, David Young, & Elix Skipper) - Before the match, Bobby Heenan returns to the announcing table. There are many baseball celebrities in the crowd, most notably Johnny Damon. After Simon hit Torborg with the catcher’s gear, AJ Pierzynski pulled the ref out of the ring. Bobby Heenan then came to ringside and distracted the ref while Johnny Damon gave AJ a home plate. AJ hit Diamond with the plate and that was followed up by AJ’s team beating on Diamond until all 3 men pinned Diamond. Winners: Dale Torborg, Sonjay Dutt, & Chris Sabin
Monty Brown vs Christian Cage - Monty dominates most of the match. At one point, Monty pulls Christian away from the turnbuckles and the cover of the turnbuckle comes off. Christian gets his second wind and hits a frog splash in Monty. Monty kicks out and hits Christian with a Monty Bomb. He then applies a full nelson. Christian gets out of the full nelson by dropping Monty’s face on the unprotected turnbuckle and then hits the Unprettier on Monty to get the win. Winner: Christian Cage
Tables Match: America’s Most Wanted vs Team 3-D - This brawl starts before the bell rings. Several times, when it appears a man is about to go through the table, their teammate moves the table right before impact. AMW gives James Storm the death sentence through the table. A few minutes later, Team 3-D gives Harris the 3-D through a table set up at the top of the ramp to get the win. The PPV is briefly held up due to an injury James Storm suffered during the match. Winners: Team 3-D
TNA X Division Title: Champ AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe - Joe beats up AJ for the first few minutes with his kicks. He then injures AJ’s back with the Boston Crab. AJ gets his second wind. The crowd starts chanting this is awesome. A few minutes later, Joe’s kicks are noticeably weaker. The momentum keeps changing but neither man can pin the other. AJ hits the Styles Clash but Joe kicks out. AJ rolls up Joe for a pin attempt and Joe grabs the tights to and is able to turn it into the rear naked choke hold. AJ can’t reach the ropes and taps out. After the match, Joe teases shaking AJ’s hand and hits him with a chair. He is about to give AJ a muscle buster on a chair when Christopher Daniels attacks Joe. Joe hits a headbutt on Daniel’s and it appears that Daniel’s falls down due to the concussion. Joe then leaves the ring with the belt. Winner: Samoa Joe
NWA World Title Match: Champion Jeff Jarrett vs Rhino - The match starts in the ring but doesn’t stay there for long. While fighting through the crowd, Rhino falls off the ledge that separates the bleachers and floor. Rhino shakes it off and they fight near the exit where Rhino slams him into the door. Jarret is cut open from that move. They start fighting on the scaffold. Jarret hits Rhino with a chair and he falls off the scaffold through a table. A few moments later, Rhino sets a table up on the ramp entrance and gives Jarrett the gore through the table. The announcer then states that if the ref makes it to the ten count, the match will end in a count out. As Rhino tries to get back to the ring, Eric Young & Petey Williams try to stop Rhino. A few minutes later, Rhino accidentally gores the ref. With the ref out, Bobby Rude & A-1 beat up Rhino. Jarrett uses the guitar and gets a 2 count. Jackie Gayda comes out and slaps Jarrett in the face. Rhino hits the gore for 2. With the help of Scott D’Amore, Jarrett hits Rhino with the stroke off the top rope through 2 chairs to get the win. The lights go out and Sting’s chair, jacket & bat appear on a chair in the middle of the ring. Winner: Jeff Jarrett
