12/5 RAW Report

Monday December 5, 2005
The trial of Eric Bischoff dominates the show. This long, drawn out, and unentertaining segment was featured between a series of horrible squash matches. To make matters worse, there was false advertising at the beginning of the show as it was promised that Ric Flair was going to be the guest of the original segment of The Cutting Edge. Instead of delivering on that promise, Edge used the death of Terry Gordy to rile up Michael Hayes. The 35-0 first half of MNF this show ran against was more entertaining than this show.

- The show starts out with Vince McMahon riding to the ring in a trash truck. He declares that tonight there will be a trial for Eric Bischoff to see if he keeps his job. He determines that The Coach will defend Bischoff and Mick Foley will be the attorney for the prosecution. Vince is the judge. Throughout the night, many of the wrestlers are called to testify. Witnesses included Stephanie McMahon, Tajiri, Mae Young, Chris Masters The Boogeyman, Maria, and Daivari.

Fatal 4 Way Match for Tag Team Titles: Champs The Big Show & Kane vs The Heartthrobs, Snitsky & Tomko, and Viscera & Val Venis - The Big Show and Kane destroy everyone that gets in their way. The match ends with an impressive move as TBS & Kane choke slam The Heartthrobs & Tomko at the same time. Winners: Kane & The Big Show

Mickie James w/Trish Stratus vs Victoria w/Torrie & Candace - This match is marred by outside interference. The eventual 3 on 2 costs Mickie the match as Trish can’t keep up with the 2 Divas outside the ring. While Mickie is distracted by Candace, Victoria rolls Mickie up from behind to get the win. Winner: Victoria

Chavo Guerrero vs Lance Cade - This match ends after 3 minutes when Chavo hits Cade with Eddie’s five star frog splash. Winner: Chavo Guerrero

- The Cutting Edge: This is the new talk show segment hosted by Edge. He was supposed to interview Ric Flair but he didn’t show. Edge & Lita mock Flair and Sgt. Slaughter and Freebird Michael Hayes come to the ring to end the segment. Hayes gets into a verbal confrontation with Edge that ends with Edge saying that his former partner Terry Gordy was dead. This led to a fight that saw Sgt. Slaughter and Michael Hayes beaten up.

Triple H vs Tajiri - This match was set up by Bischoff because Tajiri testified against him. In what should not be a surprise, Triple H hit the pedigree to get the win in less than 3 minutes. Winner: Triple H

Shawn Michaels & Shelton Benjamin vs Kurt Angle & Carlito - Prior to the match, Shawn told Shelton that he needs to change his attitude and care about winning and not making friends. The match ends with Shelton taking this advice. When Shawn was going to hit the superkick on Carlito, Shelton tagged himself in. He missed a move off the top rope and was pinned by Carlito. After the match, Shelton refused to shake Shawn’s hand and shoved him. Winners: Kurt Angle & Carlito

- The verdict of the trial is announced in the ring. Before Vince makes his announcement, Bischoff makes an elimination chamber match for New Years Revolution. John Cena comes out and says that Vince is a pioneer for free speech while Bischoff edits the crowd during Kurt Angle’s music. Vince decides to fire Bischoff. The show ends with Bischoff put in the garbage truck.

Kane & The Big Show beat The Heartthrobs, Snitsky & Tomko, and Viscera & Val Venis
    Victoria beat Mickie James
    Triple H beat Tajiri
