I am very saddened to report that Eddie Guerrero was found passed away in his hotel room Sunday morning. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and his three daughters Shaul (14), Sherilyn (9), and Kaylie Marie (3). Eddie was scheduled to fight Batista and Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship on Sunday.
Vince McMahon & his nephew Chavo Guerrero held a press conference which can be viewed at WWE.com. They announced that this week's RAW & SmackDown! TV shows will both be dedicated to the memory of Eddie Guerrero. The shows will not feature any angles or the continuation of any storylines. In addition, the WWE has posted videos of some of Eddie's career highlights.
According to the WWE, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday and then his body will be flown back to Phoenix. The funeral is set for Thursday and is closed to the public. As more information becomes available, I will update this terrible story. I wish to extend my condolences to the family of Eddie Guerrero.
