Taboo Tuesday Report

Last night, the WWE presented Taboo Tuesday on PPV. This card is a prime example of the reason why a person should wait until the day of the event to order a PPV. Fans ordering the event expecting to see the return of Steve Austin had to be disappointed by the change of the card that took place the night before the event. In addition to Austin's absence, Edge was replaced on the card by Gene Snitsky.
The results of the event saw the crowning of new tag team champions and John Cena retaining his title. The match of the night was a steel cage match between Ric Flair and Triple H that saw Flair retain the I-C title.
SmackDown! vs RAW Superstars - The fans voted for Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy to represent SmackDown in this match against Edge and Chris Masters. Before the match, Edge announces that he won't fight because it won't further his career and announces Snitsky as his replacement. In reality, Edge has a pec injury. This match also featured two referees, one from Raw and one from SmackDown!. After 10 minutes, Rey and Matt isolate Masters in the ring and hit him with the 619, twist of fate, and springboard splash to get the win. Winners: Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy
Tyson Tomko and Rob Conway vs Eugene & ? - The fans vote for Jimmy Snuka to be Eugene's partner. At around the six minute mark, Snuka hits the super fly on Conway to get the pin. After the match, Tyson Tomko attacks Snuka. Jim Duggan and Kamala make the save and attack Tomko. Winners: Eugene and Jimmy Snuka
Carlito vs One of the faces of Mick Foley - The fans vote for Mankind to fight Carlito. After a back and forth battle, Mankind hits Carlito with a flying elbow off the apron, then brings him back into the ring and hits the double arm DDT. He then gets Mr. Socko out of his tights. Mr. Socko has a Carlito style afro. Mankind uses the mandible claw to get the submission at around seven minutes. Winner: Mankind
Tag Team Title Match: Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade vs ?? The vote for the main event is announced. Shawn Michaels wins the vote meaning that Kane and The Big Show will team together for this match. The size advantage of Kane and the Big Show is too much for the champs to overcome. At the eight minute mark, Kane and The Big Show hit a double choke slam on Cade to get the win. Winners and new champions: Kane and The Big Show
Jonathon Coachman w/Goldust and Vader vs Batista - The fans vote for this to be a street fight. This match is actually 3 on 1. The Coach stays outside the ring as long as possible. This match is a virtual squash match and features Batista give the sine buster to all three men to get the win in a little over four minutes. There is no mention of this match being for JR's career as the match was supposed to be before Austin was replaced by Batista on Monday. Winner: Batista
Fulfill your Fantasy Diva Battle Royal - The fans vote for the Divas to be wearing lingerie in this match. Torrie Wison is not in this match. The participants in the match are Trish Stratus, Mickie James, Ashley, Maria, Victoria, and Candice Michelle. To be eliminated a wrestler must be thrown out of the ring. The match is for Trish's title. After Ashley, Maria, and Candice are eliminated, Victoria is about to eliminate Trish. Mickey saves Trish and spears Victoria out of the ring eliminating both of them. Winner and still champ: Trish Stratus
I-C Title Match: Ric Flair vs Triple H - The fans vote for this to be a steel cage match. This match is a violent 25 minute affair. The match ends with Ric Flair hitting Triple H in the head three times before escaping the cage through the door. Triple H was helped to the back by 2 refs and was applauded by the fans for the excellent match. Winner and still champ: Ric Flair
WWE Title Match: John Cena vs Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels - After 15 minutes, Angle has the ankle lock applied to Cena. When Cena was about to tap out, Michaels hit angle with a flying elbow from the top rope. Michaels then gave Angle the swwet chin music. As Michaels was about to pin Angle, John Cena picked up Michaels and delivered the FU to get the win. Winner and still champ: John Cena
