Tuesday November 1, 2005
The Halloween edition of RAW was definitely not a treat for the viewers. Tonight’s show featured three squash matches and the announcement that Steve Austin would not be at Taboo Tuesday. In addition, Torrie Wilson was dropped from the Diva Battle Royal. PWInsider.com is reporting that Torrie has been released by WWE. In more bad news, WWE.com reported that Christian has quit the WWE.
- The show starts off with Eric Bishoff and Chris Masters in the ring. They challenge Rey Mysterio to The Masterlock Challenge. Mysterio comes to the ring accompanied by Teddy Long. Before the challenge begins, Mysterio and Masters start to fight. RAW GM, Eric Bishoff calls for some RAW stars to come to the ring and attack Mysterio. SmackDown! GM Teddy Long calls for some SD wrestlers that enter through the crowd. The SD superstars clear the ring of the RAW wrestlers.
- Kurt Angle vs Tajiri: Angle dominates the first 3 minutes of the match. Tajiri gets a second wind and hits several kicks on Angle. Tajiri tries to apply the tarantula, but Angle reverses it and applies the ankle lock. Angle forces Tajiri to submit at around the 4 minute mark. After the match, Angle gets on the mic and mentions that he has 3 wins over John Cena. When he has highlights of last week’s match shown, Cena storm the ring and Angle leaves. Winner: Kurt Angle
- A video recap of the Triple H – Ric Flair feud is shown. After the video, Flair gets on the mic and begs the fans to vote for the steel cage match.
- Rob Conway vs Eugene: Eugene storms the ring and beats up Conway both inside and outside the ring. When Eugene renters the ring, Conway gets the upper hand and keeps it for several minutes. Eugene then Hulk’s up and hits the Rock Bottom. Eugene thinks the ref counts to 3 but Conway got his foot on the rope. Conway then hit Eugene in the head with a steel chair and the ref calls for the bell. Conway continues his attack until legends Jimmy Snuka, Jim Duggan, Kamala, and Jerry Lawler hit the ring and beat up Conway. Winner: Eugene by DQ
- Carlito is in the ring talking about tomorrow’s match with Mick Foley. A video appears on the Titantron featuring Dude Love, Cactus Jack, & Mankind threatening Carlito. After the video ends, Jonathon Coachman gets out of his announcers chair and says that he is sick of waiting for Steve Austin. He enters the ring, Carlito leaves and the show goes to commercial.
- The Coach is in the ring and brings out Goldust. Vince McMahon then comes out and stays on the ramp to make a few announcements. Vince says that Austin was involved in some sort of an accident this weekend and that Austin won’t be able to fight at Taboo Tuesday. He then declares Jonathon Coachman the winner of tomorrow’s match by forfeit. Vince then says that The Coach must still fight tomorrow. Vince brings out his new opponent, Funaki. The Coach and Goldust beat up Funaki and ask for a greater challenge. Vince then says that the first SmackDown! star to answer the challenge will get to fight Coach. Batista’s music hits and he enters the ring. He takes out Coach and Goldust but is attacked by the returning Vader. Batista succumbs to the 3 on 1 attack. When the 3 wrestlers leave the ring, Batista gets up and stares at them with a sick smile on his face. It is then announced that Batista will fight Coach tomorrow night.
- Triple H vs Viscera: Triple H crotches Viscera in the ropes as he is entering the ring. After a few punches, Triple H hits the 500 pound Viscera with the pedigree to get the win in less than a minute. After the match, Triple H hits Viscera with the steel steps outside the ring. He then gets on the mic and says that he will end Flair’s career tomorrow night. Winner: Triple H
- During the rundown of the Taboo Tuesday card, it is announced that Rob Conway will now have Tyson Tomko as a partner in his match.
- The Heartthrobs vs Kane & The Big Show: This match is under Texas Tornado rules which allow all 4 men to be in the ring at the same time. The Heartthrobs get zero offense in this match. The plot of this match is TBS and Kane trying to outdo each other. They finally finish the match with simultaneous choke slams to get a double pin. Winners: Kane & The Big Show
- Jerry Lawler is in the ring to mc a Diva Halloween contest. Ashley is dressed as a dark angel, Maria is dressed as an angel, Mickie James comes out dressed like Trish Stratus, Candice is dressed like Catwoman, Victoria is dressed as a baseball player, and Trish is dressed like Wonder Woman. When Lawler is trying to gauge the fans vote, Mickie James grabs the mic and says the fans should all be voting for Trish. Victoria tell her to shut up and a cat fight ensues. Ashley, Maria, Trish, and Mickie celebrate in the ring after forcing Candice and Victoria to leave.
- John Cena vs Shawn Michaels: This is a non-title match. In this battle of faces, the fans are solidly behind Michaels. Both men fight cleanly in this match which features excellent mat wrestling. After about 9 minutes of back and forth action, Shawn Michaels misses a splash off the top rope. With both wrestlers down, Kurt Angle runs into the ring and beats up both men. Cena is able to fight back and when he has Angle up for the FU, Shawn Michaels hits Cena with the super kick to the applause of the crowd. The show ends with Michael’s standing over Angle & Cena.
