10/28 SmackDown! Recap

Tonight's edition of SmackDown! features a title change, a major heel turn, and two hall of famers in the main event.
- The Peep Show – Every time Christian tries to talk about Taboo Tuesday, he gets interrupted; first by Rey Mysterio, then Matt Hardy, followed by Hardcore Holly, then JBL, and finally Teddy Long. Teddy Long declares that since they all want to fight at Taboo Tuesday, he is ordering the first ever five-man free-for-all.
- Christian vs Rey Mysterio Jr. vs JBL vs Matt Hardy vs Hardcore Holly: After an impressive spot featuring Christian superplexed by Matt Hardy & Rey Mysterio while being power bombed by JBL and Hardcore Holly, each competitor hits their finishing maneuver on an opponent only to be hit by another opponents finisher when they attempt a pin. The match finally ends when after Christian hit the unprettier on Matt Hardy, he is hit by a hurricarrana by Rey Mysterio and is pinned. After the match, Matt Hardy shakes Rey Mysterio’s hand and raises his arm in victory. Winner: Rey Mysterio Jr.
- Booker T & Sharmell are called into Teddy Long’s office. Teddy shows Booker the footage of his title victory from last week. Booker T is upset that his wife interfered in the match and demands that she apologize to Chris Benoit.
- Roddy Piper bumps into the Orton’s in the back and they exchange insults and threats.
- Some midgets play a joke on Simon Dean and cause him to crash his Segway.
- Short Sleeve Sampson vs Pitbull Patterson: After a few minutes of stereotypical wrestling and even worse jokes on commentary, Short Sleeve hits a drop kick on Pitbull that also hits the ref in the groin. When the ref goes down because of the kick, Short Sleeve jumps on his back and gives Pitbull a splash from the back of the ref to get the pin. After the match, Simon Dean comes to the ring to get his revenge but gets beaten up by the midgets. Winner: Short Sleeve Sampson
- Booker T and Sharmell are in the ring. Chris Benoit comes to the ring to get his apology. Sharmell instead starts insulting Booker T and slaps him in the face. As she is walking up the ramp, she tells Benoit that she apologizes “for this”. As soon as she says it, Booker T hits Benoit in the head with the US Title causing him to bleed. He then works on Benoit’s injured ribs. Booker T celebrates in the ring with his wife.
- Fatal 4 Way for WWE Tag Team Titles - Champs Animal & Heidenreich vs The Mexicools, vs MNM, vs Regal & Birchill: After a commercial break, Animal & Heidenreich are about to give the Doomsday Device to Birchill. James and Chad Dick come to ringside and push Heidenreich off the top rope. In all the confusion, MNM hit the snapshot on Heidenreich to get the pin. Winners and new tag team champions: MNM
- Nunzio and Vito are in Teddy Long’s office and say they want a tag team match. Long insults them by saying they both lost to Lashley. He then makes a handicap match for next week between them and Lashley. When Teddy Long leaves his office, he is scarred by The Boogy Man. The Boogy Man makes another creepy poem and smashes a clock over his own head.
- Batista and Eddie Guerrero are in the back. Batista presents Eddie Guerrero with a present. He bought him a low rider because “Latino Heat” is back.
-Batista, Eddie Guerrero, & Roddy Piper vs Kennedy and Randy & Bob Orton: After several minutes of beating up Piper, Bob Orton gives a cheap shot to Batista and Guerrero that only serves to anger them. They enter the ring and beat up Kennedy and Randy. In all the confusion, Piper gets the sleeper hold on Bob Orton and makes him fall asleep. Winners: Batista, Eddie Guerrero, & Roddy Piper
