The return of Kane plus the aftermath of JR's firing.
- Vince McMahon comes to the ring and plays a “tribute” video to JR. Vince then announces The Coach as the new voice of RAW.
- Kurt Angle approaches Vince about being # 1 contender. The Hurricane then confronts Vince about firing JR. Vince orders Kurt to “sic em” and Kurt Angle beats up The Hurricane. When they go to break, on WWE Unlimited they show Rosey try to help The Hurricane and get slapped for his efforts. Then the Hurricane takes his mask off and gives it to Rosey
- Vince goes to Eric Bishoff’s office. Bishoff announces that the main event of Taboo Tuesday will be John Cena vs Kurt Angle vs the fans choice of three wrestlers that win qualifying matches tonight
- Qualifying Match #1: Edge vs The Big Show – When it appears Edge is going to hit The Big Show with the briefcase, JBL’s music comes on. This distraction leads to the Big Show giving Edge the choke slam and winning the match. Winner: The Big Show
- Edge goes to Bishoff’s office. He says that he is going to be on SmackDown! Friday night to get his revenge on JBL.
- Carlito’s Cabana with Mick Foley: When Foley starts talking about Linda McMahon firing JR, Linda appears via the Titantron and explains it was “just business”. Afterwards, Mick Foley flusters Carlito by saying that people don’t think Carlito is cool.
- Qualifying Match #2: Shawn Michaels vs Carlito – After the ref bump, Carlito brings a chair into the ring. As he’s about to use it, Shawn Michaels hits Sweet Chin Music on the chair that hits Carlito. The ref comes to and counts the pin for Shawn. Winner: Shawn Michaels
- After the match, Ric Flair comes to the ring to talk about the beating Triple H gave him 2 weeks ago. Flair goes nuts and reopens the wounds on his face and starts smearing the blood all over his face. Triple H comes out but runs off when Flair chases him with a bat.
- Maria interviews Carlito and he blames Mick Foley for his loss and challenges him to a match at Taboo Tuesday.
- Victoria, Candace Michelle, & Torrie Wilson vs Trish Stratus, Ashley, & Mickie James - The story of the match is Mickey trying to get the approval of her partners and after every move looks to her corner for approval. Victoria takes advantage of this and pins Mickie. After the match, Mickie attacks Victoria and hits the Startusfaction on her while still looking to her partners for approval.
- Steve Austin shows up and drives his pickup to the ring. He calls out Vince about firing JR but Stephanie McMahon shows up instead. He threatens to spank her when The Coach speaks up from the announcing table. Stephanie then makes a match for the two at Taboo Tuesday. If Austin wins JR gets his job back, but if not Austin is fired. When Austin leaves the ring, he goes to the commentary area and fills the Coach’s cowboy hat with beer and puts it back on the Coach
- Eric Bishoff comes out and says next week the fans can start voting on several of the matches at Taboo Tuesday he just made (Flair vs Triple H, Mick Foley vs Carlito, & a Diva Battle Royal). John Cena then comes out and goes to the commentary booth to be the guest commentator for the upcoming match. Bishoff then announces the return of Kane
- Qualifying Match #3: 18 Man Battle Royal: Kane enters the ring and immediately choke slams Carlito & throws him out. He then throws Viscera out of the ring before they go to commercial break. The final four come down to Kane, Chris Masters and The Heart Throbs. Kane choke slams both Heart Throb’s simultaneously and dumps them both over the top rope. Chris Masters then tries to apply the Master Lock to Kane but can’t do it. Kane dumps him over the top rope for the win. Winner: Kane
